The organization was formed in September, 2009 from the dissolution of the Minority/Women Business Enterprise Alliance, Inc., which served Central Florida’s small businesses from November, 1994 to June, 2009 and was formerly located in Orlando, FL. Currently the organization is being run by former employees of the M/WBE Alliance on a volunteer basis: Ms. Shirley A. Walker, MBA, PMP is the Executive Director / Business Coach and Ms. Rose Maybin, Construction Business Coach. The Small Business Alliance of Central Florida is a subsidiary Money-in-the-Bank University (MITBU) Program, Inc and its initial focus is on providing technical, management, business development and construction management assistance along with access to capital and financial counseling. The Small Business Alliance of Central Florida is located in Longwood, Florida and its guiding mission is to build stronger and more inclusive communities by developing and enhancing small, disadvantaged, minority and women-owned businesses. We are committed to being an economic development leader by developing resources, identifying and responding to the business needs of small businesses in the Central Florida Region.
